the world still grinds on just as it did before
the walls still shake at the thought of your ghost

there is a time for the waves to break against the shore and a time for us to be dragged out to sea like grains of sand
there will be a quiet place where the anguish grinds to a halt
a pure place where the madness ceases to matter
the final breath for this existence will flow from you as it’s flowed from everyone one before
there will be a resounding struggle as this circle closes around and you are forced to let go
we are all going to ride through fates door eventually and when it closes behind us permanently we will open our arms to the great unknown

we pray to the pretty bones and are still addicted to fluorescent light
we swallow the plastic whole and sell our dreams down the river just for another fix
dance in accordance with what’s expected of us and make sure no one sees us falter
no matter what
we keep a stiff upper lip when we all we want to do is lie so pry it out
break down the entropy and force aside the program to let it out, it doesn’t matter
try and hold on to envy so tight while it slips away and it doesn’t matter anyway
hold the people who understand you so tight they won’t let you escape
down the rabbit hole again
find the courage to reveal who you truly are its all that matters anyway
discard the story they raised you on it is bloated, full of hell and mirrors
